High Lady Dóiteán Liatháin
"The crimes against my people end today. This, I command."
Character Theme
“Your father was a great man and a hero amongst our people. You will be the same one day, my little Dóiteán…”
THE RETURN
While perhaps the specifics of what occured within the Eahaim throne room would be known by Doitean, her sister Aine, and the Royal Guard alone -- when Doitean exited the throne room wielding Lightbringer, and Aine emerged in chains -- it was clear that a shift and a dramatic change within the dynamic of the "winged city" had occured. The Royal Court was quickly reorganized into a Military Council, reporting directly to Doitean, and in its stead, trusted advisors, most prominently from the Black Lions Cadet House, the very house that had trained Doitean in the many ways of warfare, became the new leaders of the Nefleim people. Feeling confident in her bloodless coup, and the changes within the government of her people, Doitean, now High Lady, departed Eahaim with a close attache and returned to Stucia, where the fires of her ideals can and will conquer the power resting beneath Stucia's very ground. After all, a Queen's place is at the tip of the charge. This, she commands.
"Stucia. I have returned."
\Dóiteán shortly after her coronation as High Lady. Artists rendition, circa 453 CE./

"Blood does not define kinship. The heart does. And those who embrace the fires of my ideals will stand by my side as equals in the new world that I will forge for them. This, I command."
The new crest of House Liathain, which was the recycled crest of Dóiteán's cadet branch during her time training in the Eageàrd.
Views on Stucian Politics and Current Events
The Royal Court: "Most of the individuals who make up the so-called leadership of this land are soft, and would gladly slay their own kin for another sliver of silver. It is a mockery of nobility to send others to die for your own ideals. Know that I tolerate them out of respect for that which the true warriors of this land have accomplished, and not due to antiquated ideas of civility."
The Adventurer's Guild: "A mixed bunch of true warriors, cowards, sellswords, and murderers. I hold no true opinion over the organization as a whole due to this, but those who only fight for coin are destined to find a knife planted in their backs one day. I only hope that they see the error of their ways and fight not for material benefit, but for the fires of their ideals."

Shield Daken Emberey:
"You were the first to witness my return to Stucia, and the first to accept my vision for this world. You are the shield of my ideals -- but perhaps more importantly, you are the shield of that where your heart belongs. I will ensure that the world you raise your and Dionysus' child in will be a pure and righteous world, where there is no more war. So that they do not have to suffer the pain that their parents have suffered. This, I command."
Ser Androu Opimius:
"You turned your back on your queen's ideals for a paltry promise of power, and then betrayed those which you had sworn lesser oaths to by way of joining the Cult of Iron. While I now know -why- you committed such an act, you have caused me a great deal of discomfort. Return to your Queen's side and perhaps all may be forgiven. Or continue to stand against my ideals serving another master and face oblivion. The choice is yours. This, I command."
Mistress Dionysus:
"You, like Androu, forsook your oaths to my leadership in favor of a master who would remake the world into darkness, while I would do so in the light. While I have been appraised to the reason as to why -- I would be lying if I said that it did not cause me a modicum of shame that you did not come to me for guidance and assistance. You instead fled to the service of another who would send you to die for his own ambitions. But my word is my bond, and so I will ensure that the Shield will grow old by you, and your children's side. This, I command."
Draysa Sadrith:
"In no small way you, too, are like me. The greater good must always be upheld and I appreciate that even those who do not find themselves cursed with noble blood believe such. I hope that I can call upon your aid in the battles to come, as I know that your true purpose -- is to be by my side."
Ser Areli Ciarán:
"In more ways than one you are like me. Abandoned by the very gods who crafted us in their wombs. You swore an oath to my ideals, and, in return I will uphold my promise to you. There will be no more shame. Only a warrior standing at the side of his Queen. You are reborn this day, and forever more."
Dame Allynna Omana:
"I wanted a sister, and you instead gave me another lesson in the cruel realities of this world. Not every soul can be freed of gravity's cruel weight, not even those of my kin. I will show you that I am not a tyrant or a monster, or another noble who wishes for power for powers sake. No. I will build you a better world, whether you like it or not."
Lady Marlene-Cecile Blanchet:
"You are my conscious. My anchor to the people of these lands. While you do not share my blood, you are more of a sister to me than Aine' ever was. You have promised to stand by my side until the end, and yet, you are not Nefleim. If only my own kin could show such loyalty and dedication to my ideals. Nevertheless, I will ensure that your way home is safe from the myriad of dangers to this world and ensure that you can return the fallen to their rightful place. This, I command."
Count Antiphates Landaluce:
"You are different than the other nobles of this land. While our ideals are not aligned -- I can appreciate the fact that you consider yourself a soldier first, and a noble second. That is a belief shared by myself, and perhaps one of the more rare beliefs of the so called nobility of these lands. While I do not think that House Landaluce would stand with House Liathain in the future, I do believe that our Houses can fight together in the present. When the time comes however, I hope you deliver me a worthy challenge. This, I command."
Inquisitor Ritte:
"While I find your ambivalence towards the descendants of the very gods you worship annoying -- I cannot fault your dedication to said gods and what you believe their ideals to be. You could prove to be a useful ally in the battles to come. But I fear you lack vision beyond wishing to serve those who would not lift a finger for you."
Duchess Sylla Cruvius:
"You denied me dominion over my kin, which should have been what broke our short alliance. But you are a woman of power and vision. Something that I can respect. I would enjoy speaking with you further about the nature of this world."
Celaena Venrora:
"It should be you leading House Opimius, not Obadiah. You are a woman of power and vision, and such qualities, and your refusal to simply be a showpiece adorning another's arm is commendable. Your ideals are perhaps anathema to my own, but I hope that, one day, you see the light and that one day you will choose to stand at a very descendent of Lilyma's side."
Azeyma:
"You and I have had very few interactions, and most all of them have been neutral, or somewhat lined with disrespect. If I was a lesser being I would have said something by now, but the truth is -- I find it somewhat amusing that you perceive my role in the war to come in such a way. Still, you are a woman of action, worthy of standing at Celaena's side. Know that your family will be protected by the strength of Eahaim."
Count Obadiah Opimius:
"A weak and hypocritical man who has led my kin astray. You, like most other so-called nobles of these lands, would rather hide behind vague notions of your ideals instead of acting upon them. It is no surprise the Inquisiton excommunicated you. Perhaps you will redeem yourself and submit House Opimius as a cadet house of House Liatháin and thus truly serve the descendants of the Gods you so claim to worship, or, you will squander any chance you have at their forgiveness and face oblivion."
Count Oslir aep Gladdwell Milaen:
"Not choosing a side is, in essence, choosing a side. Your own. I am all too familiar with those who would stand idly by and let terrible events pass for their own benefit, and you strike me as an individual who would gladly burn the world for an inkling of personal power, or perhaps another piece of trivial silver. I pray that I am proven wrong when you and I meet once more."
Captain Aqua Del Fuego:
"My wayward sister. A woman of vision. A woman of power. While I fear that we have drifted apart due to recent events -- know that my promise to yourself and your would-be successor is absolute, as I, unlike the others, am a woman of my word. I told you once that I would build a world where our descendants would not have to make the same terrible but necessary decisions that we had to make to survive and placate the fire of our ideals. That will not change, no matter what the future holds.
Aine Liatháin:
"You almost killed your own sister over a duel in these very lands, but more egregiously -- you mocked and embarrassed me in front of your peers. It is only fitting that I return to clean up your mistakes and chart a new path for our people. I will ensure that you see me successful before I levy judgement upon you for killing our father in cold blood. This, I command."
