Dargoth Mar
Dargoth Mar, now going by the name Athuenka was the god of chaos, ambition and revolution.
Before the formation of the Ithearian Empire, tribes inhabited the general area of Tyrus and Aurum. The isolated population of Aurum were known as different worshipping tribes of Dargoth Mar, happily spilling each others' blood in his name to gain his attention. The tribes of Aurum, over decades if not centuries of violence, managed to attract Dargoth Mar to the mortal plane. But it was not the tribes of Aurum that were gifted his blessing, instead it was a simple victim of the barbaric tribals - Athuenka, a tribeswoman of the more peaceful tribes of Aurum was sacrificed along with dozens of others in unspeakably vile rituals in the name of Dargoth Mar. In her dying breaths, Athuenka managed to cry for Dargoth's mercy. The God's appearance came shortly after - Athuenka was sacrificed nonetheless, but Dargoth Mar resurrected Athuenka and enthralled her with his power.
Athuenka's life was quickly overtaken by the power of Dargoth Mar, and she turned into Dargoth Mar's 'Champion'. Her declaration was that the tribals of Aurum were unfaithful, lacking cause, and eliminated the island entirely of the tribals that did not bend to her will, and enslaved those who did. Over time, she took control of the island, and set herself as a god-like queen, and ruled over Aurum with a coven of witches beneath her. Athuenka's kingdom withstood centuries of assault from Fomorians with ease, and her witches terrorized the lands closest to the island with raids and kidnappings along the coast meant to appease and grow her power, so much so that even the Ithearians accepted Athuenka's rule over the island of Aurum.
Dargoth Mar, however, is the god of Ambition and Revolution. Athuenka's life as his champion ultimately lost these key connections to Dargoth, and while her power on the mortal plane grew, her connection to Dargoth weakened. Finally, after centuries of her reign, an Ithearian adventurer by the name of Atticus Cato arose, battling against Athuenka's raids and stunting the kidnappings along the coast, before taking the battle to Aurum. Atticus, blessed by Morgain for waging war against Athuenka, took down Athuenka's territory and ultimately challenged Athuenka to a duel. Expecting a swift victory, Cato weakened and ultimately felled Athuenka, destroying Dargoth's direct connection to the mortal plane. With Athuenka slain, a silver heart placed in her chest cavity and her body cast in lead, she was thrown into the sea off of the shore, and Aurum was invaded and annexed by the Ithearian Empire.
Dargoth Mar has lost his mortal form, yet the bond between him and his champion appeared to be so closely tied that it was hard to distinguish Athuenka from Dargoth Mar, as her attitude changed drastically after her change, and Dargoth Mar has not reappeared for centuries after.
Athuenka
Dargoth Mar is thus known in different cultures by different names. For the Ithearians he is known still by his male name or alternatively his mortal female 'form' Athuenka, while the rest of the continent refers to him by Dargoth Mar. On Tao he is known as Hundun or Mikaboshi.
