(You need Dropbox.) Credits to Meowrail
Step 1: Locate your model pack and install it. Launch your game once to make sure it's mounted, or if your game is already launched, this shouldn't be an issue.
Step 2: Go into your files; C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons, or wherever your add-ons folder may be. Find the name of the addon you downloaded, and keep that open, or minimize it.
Step 3: Open a new folder window and locate a file called "gmad". You can do this by going to (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod and using your search bar from there.
Step 4: Drag the file you want onto "gmad," and a command prompt should open, showing all the files being extracted. (In the future, the default for opening GMA files should already be GMad, so you may not have to do this again, and may be able to just double click them for the extractor to begin.) Afterwards, the folder should appear in the addons folder containing the extracted files.
Step 5: Once you're in, you should find something that looks like this. Some addons may also have "lua" with them, but we'll be focusing on "materials" and "models" for now.
Step 6: Going into "models" first, I'm taking a model out of a pack of models. You may need to open your game to find out the name of the model you're trying to rip, but if you're porting from an addon with a single model, this shouldn't be an issue. Once you find your model, highlight the dx90.vtx, dx80.vtx, .mdl, .phy, .sw.vtx, and .vvd. Copy these, and put them onto your desktop.
Step 7: Go back in your folders, and we're going into materials this time. If it's an addon that uses many shared files, then copy all the files onto your desktop right by the models. You will need both the vmt and vtf files. If your addon has specifications for different characters, then you should be able to figure out which ones to copy just by their names.
Step 8: I am personally using 7zip. Once all of these files are on your desktop, highlight them all, right click, hover over into 7zip, and click "Add to Archive". Regardless of if you're doing this on 7Zip or WinRar, you will need your compression rate to be set to 0, or your program's equivalent to do that, as well as making sure the compression filetype is a .zip file.
Step 9: Once it's done compressing, your newly made .zip file should be on your desktop. Take that file and upload it to Dropbox, and once that's finished, hit 'Share'. Copy that Share link and get to PAC in GMod.
Step 10: Create a "model2" under "pac4". Enter in the link that you copied from Dropbox, but instead, change the "dl=0" to a "dl=1" so that your client and server download it.
Wait for it to load, and huzzah, you're done. If there are any questions, you can post on this thread. Thank you for reading, and let me know if I'm wrong on anything here.
Make sure you keep your PACs under control and limited. Having a ton of downloadable parts that people install every time they join the server not only lags the client, but is just generally annoying. Please don't port a big tiddy waifu, or just generally port things that are appropriate to the setting. Remember, port responsibly.
Step 1: Head over to the PAC3 Github page where the files are located.
Step 2: Click "Clone or download" and Download the .zip file.
Step 3: Extract the contents of pac3-master, and once inside, you'll find another folder of pac3-master. Drag that interior folder outside so that it's the only one that exists.
Step 4: Once there, simply move the folder from your downloaded files into your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons folder and you should be done!
