Gelkur and Felkur are the gods of the seasons, each of the twins having their own season as their realm of influence and following. Gelkur is the god of summer and Felkur the god of winter. As the Writing of the Seasons state, Gelkur and Felkur never intended to both be ruling over the seasons. The two gods competed over the realm of the weather and through their infighting they accidentally created the seasons on Roan which was considered a good compromise between the twins.
Gelkur and Felkur are worshipped nearly everywhere as the forces of nature, largely by farmers and hunters, where the summer and winter seasons are most important aspects of their lives. But having seasons nearly everywhere on Roan, they are also known as Dakashi and Makashi on Tao, or Gael and Fael in some places in Lumasil. Under the Church of Lilyma the brothers are considered to play a part alongside Lilyma, and oftentimes the Church will dedicate readings and prayer to Gelkur and Felkur amidst standard prayer.
