"Whether it be our brothers of the sands, or our brothers in the forests. In the continent of the west or the east, we are united by the love of our homes. We defend it, as we always will, and the only one who can take it away is Irian himself."

Biography
Claimed to be the one of the oldest races in the world of Roan, the Elves are mostly well known for their impressive archery and powerful spellcasters. Across all subspecies of Elves, whether they are Irinid Elves, or from the Forests of Lutra, the Elven peoples have a naturally high affinity for magics and precision. Often the most intelligent, all Elves are gifted with a naturally more prominent mana pool at birth- believed to be caused from their ancestry of being the first race created in the continent of Ferran.
Across all kingdoms in the world, the Elven kingdoms may be considered the most exotic. Split into two, the Irinid and the Lutran Elves. The Irinid Elves live within the Hajar and Kugu Deserts. Despite the harsh conditions of the deserts, the Irinid elves have built grand cities accented with gold, of which they seem to have plenty. Their land has long been protected by their most powerful magicians and desert scouts, and nothing less than a dragon has ever breached their defenses. For this reason, the Irinid elves find themselves with a lot of visitors, as their cities have turned into near tourist attractions for the rich. They hold grand feasts and festivals, and are warm and welcoming to outsiders, and have even established quarters for Beastkin and Avian, of which they seem to have an affinity towards. For this, the Irinid are appreciated for their honesty, hospitality, and kinship.
The Lutran elves, however, are fiercely independent and protective of their domain. Wildly different from the elves of the desert, the Lutran elves live within the Lutra Forest, a massive forest that stretches beyond the size of a kingdom, with trees hundreds to thousands of years old. Amidst the trees are hundreds of fortified tree-top castles and cities, intertwined with nature in a way that does not disturb what they felt the God Irian intended. The Lutran elves do not welcome visitors, though they do make exceptions from time to time, and seem to only truly open up for the Irinid Elves, of which they share common ancestry. While split apart, both the desert elves and forest elves maintain good relations and often trade with one another whenever needed.
Rarer subspecies such as half-elves are only derived from human-like races such as Draken, Beastkin, and humans themselves.
Physiology
Physically, Elves possess very similar features to both humans in regards to complexion, build, height, and facial features. However, the most distinctive feature from Elves are their elongated, pointed ears. These ears can vary from elf to elf, as well as from the two different types of elf - The two common groups of Elves are the Irinid and Lutran. Lutran Elves will always have blue irises, while Irinid Elves will almost always have red or purple irises, varying in shades.
Most elves tend to live into their mid 200’s, reaching adulthood in their 20's.
Displacement
Despite the Elves besting humans in population, the vast majority of the elven population resides in the continent of Ferran. This is largely due to their two major cities being on that continent of course - and their accompanying subraces of elves on either major city. The Irinid, which are the desert elves commonly in their home in the likewise named city of Irinid, and the Lutran elves, which are within the Lutran forests and their forest cities. These elves account for nearly 97% of the elves in the world. The remaining percentage of elves are scattered across the rest of the world, with smaller clans appearing in the forests of Aliud within the last few centuries. Elves on the continent of Aliud are greatly watered down than those of Ferran - they have little of their cultures left after assimilating into either human culture, or have too small of followings and communities to expand with.
